Reiki - the universal healing energy of warmth and love

Reiki

With Reiki the hands are placed on the body over energy meridians or energy centres. The warm loving chi (which Jonathan possesses) flows to where it is effective. Sometimes chi needs to be reduced because of excess. At other times stagnant or blocked chi needs to be freed. (see below)

A student once asked a university professor, “How could Jesus heal using his hands?” From that moment on the professor went on a journey of study and discovery.

From this study arose one of the modern day streams of Reiki, (ki/chi/qi - "spiritual energy; vital energy; life force; energy of life"), which recognises the movement of subtle energies with-in and with-out the human body.

Because body, soul and spirit, have unique interactions and interdependencies, the study and attention only to the physical can miss the interplay of other energy streams and how they affect well-being.

Everything is in vibration. Harmonious music can positively contribute to our body/soul/spirit constitution, as can many other aspects of our earthly life.

When our body/soul/spirit vibrates well and makes good music, we feel well. Good, good, good vibrations!

Reiki therapists are trained to work with energy flow within the body, soul and spirit constitution.

Client and therapist work as a team to validate sensations, feelings, thoughts and intentions, which all interplay like an orchestra. If the conductor is not doing the job properly, then change may be the answer to move forward towards greater health and well-being.

At Noosa (Doonan) Therapy Studio, Reiki can be combined with massage and pranic healing.

Healing massage

A localised healing massage is beneficial if there is soft tissue injury. A healing massage will give greater focus to the injured area thus generating increased mobility and blood-flow to the affected area. A healing massage does just what its name implies - it facilitates quicker, and potentially more complete, healing.

Reiki massage

Massage combined with Reiki (chi/qi/ki energy) can support wellbeing and effect healing on many different levels, ie physical, emotional or mental. With Reiki, the hands are held stationary for a while, which allows the chi to flow through the selected meridians and energy centres. Jonathan works with warm chi.
